The President Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors has pleaded with Nigerians to hire only professionals for their construction projects.

He said this Wednesday in Kaduna during a two days workshop on contract documentation, standardisation of bills of quantities using the E-logbook for professionals.

Abba Tor the President Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors who was ably represented by Kene Nzekwe says there was a need to engage only the services of professionals so as to have quality and standard projects, he added that when this is done it helps to avoid accidents like collapse of buildings.

While the state chairman Nigerian institute of quantity surveyors and the representative of Kaduna state governor who is also a surveyor urge all surveyors in the country to observe the ethics of the profession in their work so as to put an end to building collapse which has led to loss of lives and properties.
