The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has decried the increasing rate of unprofessional acts among officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.

Addressing Officers and Men of the Oyo State Police Command, Adamu who was represented by his Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Research and Planning, Babatunde Ogunyanwo, further expressed concern about the number of top officers being lost to criminals across the country.

He appealed to officers to be up and doing and refrain from conniving with criminal elements in the society adding that this would rubbish their professional competence.

The Inspector general of police called for moral reorientation among men and officers of the force stressing that this remains the only panacea for the safety of Nigerians.

In their separate remarks, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11, Leye Oyebade and the Commissioner of police in the state, Shina Olukolu commended the Inspector general of police for his leadership roles adding that activities of criminals in the zone has been curtailed.
