Court Convicts 38 for Violation of Lockdown Order in Ekiti
The Ekiti state government has continued its affront against violators of the lockdown order in the State with the conviction of 38 people on Tuesday.
At least, 38 people were convicted on Tuesday For the violation of the lockdown order in the State.
About fourteen of the violators were arrested in Ifaki-Ekiti while trying to sneak into the State from Abuja in the early hours of Monday.
This follows the latest directive of Governor Kayode Fayemi that surveillance should be intensified across border communities in Ekiti State.
The commandant of Nigeria security and civil defence corps in Ekiti State, Tokunbo Iyamu said security operatives in the State have been tasked to ensure total compliance with the lockdown order.
Others appealed to residents to support the efforts of the state government to rid the state of COVID-19.
With the latest efforts, it is expected that cases of coronavirus in Ekiti state would be tackled without compromise.
